Our Providers

Ann Waters is a mental health and behavioral therapist with long standing dedication to serving others. She began providing professional counseling services in 2004, prior to that her work was focused on youth-at-risk in wilderness therapy programs.  Her practice has focused on children, teenagers, and families, but she also greatly enjoys working with adults.  Ann believes that everyone has the strengths and resources to solve their own problems, sometimes they just need support.  She partners with you to design a plan for therapy pulling from her experience and knowledge.  She has helped many people address a wide array of challenges including but not limited to: traumatic events, grief, school behavior problems, academic underachievement, depression, anxiety, adoption issues, family conflict, substance abuse, work performance, parenting issues, divorce reaction, relationship issues and anger management.  She has specialized training in EMDR (Eye Motion Desensitization Reprocessing) which is a well-researched and effective treatment for trauma, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play & Filial Therapy, family preservation, Expressive Arts and the Seven Challenges (substance abuse treatment for teens). In her free time, Ann can be found in her vegetable garden, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with her family.

Master of Arts in Community Counseling with Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy
